Reduce Plastic Bag Pollution, Winchester

The Massachusetts chapter worked with local activists to help Winchester pass a law that aims to reduce plastic bag use and pollution.

The chapter prepared a rebuttal argument to help assuage concerns raised by the community and the council.

The ordinance passed on April 30, 2018, and goes into effect on November 1, 2018 for stores larger than 4500 square feet, and May 1, 2019 for all others.
