The Massachusetts chapter helped pass a plastic bag reduction ordinance in Cohasset!
The Massachusetts chapter worked with local activists to help Cohasset pass a law that aims to reduce plastic bag use and pollution.
The chapter submitted a letter of testimony, and helped organizers work through an extensive list of technical questions, arguments for and against. Volunteers also helped get out the vote, and had mention in local media.
The ordinance passed on April 30, 2018, and goes into effect on November 1, 2018.
Read the law here, and check out the chapter's testimony, here.
