STOKEE 2019 is confirmed for 24 August 2019!
Location Details
Nahant State Beach; look for the Surfrider flag just past the bathhouse. Check out this map for the exact meeting point. There is a chance that if the weather is nice and the parking lot is packed by 9:30 that we’ll have to push further down the beach. If so we’ll make sure that the Surfrider flag is visible from the lot.
Parking is along the beach and generally costs 10 USD per vehicle. Parking is free if you have a DCR Parks Pass.
About the Event
STOKEE – Surfing to Offer Kids Environmental Education is one of the Surfrider Foundation MA Chapter’s flagship events! We work with the Big Brother/Big Sister to show kids the joy of surfing and to offer up a healthy dose of environmental education at the same time.
We will start the day with a beach cleanup and some environmental education and then go surfing! We have space for at least 25 volunteers to help on land and in the water, and if you have a surfboard or wetsuit to lend please bring it along.
We’re looking for volunteer instructors and other helpers to join us and help share the Stoke! To volunteer, please sign up here. or reach out to Mike, our Treasurer, with any questions.
